Mardi Gras is around the corner, and it’s time to let the good times roll near Marquette at Piney Point Apartments. Here are three ways to celebrate Mardi Gras in Houston.
Mixers & Elixirs: Mardi Gras
Grab your masks and your beads, and head to the Mixers & Elixirs: Mardi Gras event hosted by the Houston Museum of Natural Sciences. On February 20th at 7:00 p.m., the museum will be aglow with a live band, dancing, and colorful costumes. The city’s best food trucks and cash bars will fuel the festivities, too.
Carnaval Mask Party
On February 21, experience a bit of Brazil in Houston at the Carnaval Mask Party. This flamboyant dance party runs from 9:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m. Beads and masks are provided. All ages are welcome, but guests must be 21 to imbibe. Also, you can enjoy Brazilian barbeque and snacks. Music by Gisele Duque, Brazilian Express, and Euphoria Brazil will keep the party going into the wee hours of the morning. Also, the LD Dance Company will introduce you to Brazilian dance. Tickets start at $15. Space is limited, so get your tickets early!
4th Annual Mardi Gras Pub Crawl
The 4th Annual Mardi Gras Pub Crawl will take place on February 22, rain or shine. Come experience the best pubs in Houston all in one night! General admission is $2.81 and includes beads, a koozie, a cup, and a wristband. VIP admission is $8.32 and includes all the swag plus access to all three areas (Downtown, Midtown, and Washington). Registration starts at 3:00 p.m. Check-in is at the location printed on your ticket. Please drink responsibly. So designate a driver, use public transport, or hire a cab.
