Established in 1973, the Blaffer Art Museum is a “catalyst for creative innovation and experimentation.” You can experience everything from the comfort of our apartments in Houston.
Located on the University of Houston campus, it exhibits national and international artists. If you would like to explore, the museum offers a virtual look at some of its past exhibitions. Some of what you can see from our apartments in Houston includes:
Rebecca Morris: The Ache of Bright
Hailing from Hawaii, Rebecca Morris became passionate about art at a young age. Today, her work is found in museum collections worldwide. Rebecca Morris: The Ache of Bright features ten of her major paintings. As you scroll through the exhibit, you’ll see that her works are both unpredictable and precise.
Amie Siegel: Medium Cool
Medium Cool is a unique exhibition featuring three recent works by Amie Siegel. One of the installations centers on a small piece of pink marble from the Trump Tower. Amie has spent her career working in numerous fields. Her work is exhibited around the world, and you never know what she’ll create next.
Richard Rezac: Address
Creating his metal and wood sculptures by hand, Richard Rezac “combines meticulous geometry with a deep feeling for color and form.” A sculptor since the mid-1980s, he takes inspiration from American, European, and Japanese architecture. Richard has won numerous awards and has held 24 solo exhibitions.
